Massacre At Central High
Although set in Southern California, Central High exists in some purgatory where only high school kids exist- no adults show up until the final minutes of the movie.

Stop This Crazy World, I Want To Get Off
So, here we are, in the golden age of remakes, and things just keep getting more obfuscated. First we had remakes. If you want to see The Fog, you have to figure out whether you want the original 1980 version or the 2005 remake. That’s bad enough, but now we’ve got the insanity of remakes of sequels and sequels to remakes.

And Introducing… Superman
According to Box Office Mojo, it had a worldwide theatrical take of $391 million. That sounds good enough, but you can tell the studio expected much bigger things since they invested $270 million in the production. $120 million net (not including advertising costs) at the box office is just not getting it done.

5 Actresses I Hate And The Petty Reasons Why

Accounting For Harry Potter
There have been a few theories on the real reason for the change. One is that the studio didn’t want competition from Twilight. However, Twilight’s release date is December 12th, three weeks after Harry’s original date. Pretty questionable seeing as how Harry would have made the vast bulk of it’s money by then.

For Movies, June 1981 Is A Very Good Vintage
So, when looking back, June 1981 was a very good month for movies. You may be thinking that’s pretty obvious since that was when Raiders of the Lost Ark, Superman II, and the latest James Bond caper For Your Eyes Only were released, but there were several other movies released that month that made it something special.

Revenge Of The Teenage Girls
Stuart Wilson’s performance is good, but Ellen Page really stands out as Hayley. She transforms effortlessly from a naive kid to a torturous monster. Hayley’s slight figure belies her calculating, controlling demeanor. She’s a wolf in Red Riding Hood’s clothing.

A Day At The Races
So, if Seabiscuit didn’t satiate your hunger for horse biopics, there’s good news for you. It looks like ESPN’s 35th greatest North American athlete will soon be thundering down the stretch.

Don Quixote Rides Again, Again
But since Johnny Depp is still committed to the film, it might have worked out for the best, seeing as how he’s become such a huge star since then- if, that is, box office receipts are much of a concern.
